NEIL KITCHEN
NORTH TORRENS RUGBY UNION | RUGBY UNION
Neil, the bar manager of North Torrens Rugby Union Club, broke his neck playing rugby 14 years ago. After a year in rehab he managed to walk with a stick and then unaided. He continued to support the club and became bar manager 6 years ago. Neil now runs the bar completely and is there every Thursday, Saturday home games and functions, as well as supporting the club at every away game. Neil takes a week off work when the rugby 7′s are here to look after the international players when they train at our grounds. He is also a member of the SA Crippled Crows golden oldies rugby team and has attended festivals in Wellington NZ, UK and Sydney. Previously Neil played at these festivals, but now he helps with team selection because of ongoing problems with his back and neck. Neil loves rugby and is a true rugby legend.
